Gaga reigns MTV Europe Music awards
Pop diva Lady Gaga reigned the MTV Europe Music Awards 2010 as she bagged trophies in three categories — best pop, best female artist and best song.
Standing tall to her was the teen sensation Justin Bieber, who won both the prestigious best male as well as best push artist.
Newlywed singer Katy Perry clinched the award for the best video for California Gurls, while US punk outfit Paramore triumphed in the best alternative category. The inaugural MTV EMA Global Icon Award was won by Bon Jovi. Latina beauty Shakira received the MTV free your mind award in recognition of her commitment and dedication for making education accessible to children around the world.
Lady Gaga beamed her thanks into the Caja Magica stadium by satellite from Budapest where she was performing for her smash-hit Monster Ball tour.
Justin Bieber expressed his delight at his two EMA awards. Rock band Bon Jovi received their trophy from self-confessed mega-fan Eva Longoria who sizzled and impressed as the polished host for the show.
It was a good night for European and US rock as Linkin Park won best live, while Thirty Seconds to Mars won best rock.
