Billy Joel cancels memoir
Billy Joel is not interested in confronting the past. The Piano Man hitmaker has pulled the plug on his million memoir, just months before it was set to hit bookstores.
The singer had managed an estimated $3 million advance from Harper Collins for an “emotional ride” into his past struggles including three marriages and drug addiction, the E! online reported.
“It took working on writing a book to make me realise that I’m not all that interested in talking about the past, and that the best expression of my life and its ups and downs has been and remains my music,” Joel said. The singer, a six Grammy Awards winner and the man behind evergreen hits like Uptown Girl, Piano Man and Movin’ Out has had a colourful past but it seems that he is not ready to talk about it publicly. It is also being reported that the singer did not like the way final product had shaped up and decided to back out before its June release.

Buble weds girlfriend Lopilato
Los Angeles: Hollywood hitmaker Michael Buble wed his girlfriend, actress Luisana Lopilato, in a civil ceremony in Buenos Aires on Friday.
The Grammy-winning singer and his Argentine wife posed for the gathered fans following the nuptials, reported People magazine online. The 23-year-old chose to wear a purple tulle dress while her 35-year-old husband wore a grey suit for the ceremony.
The bride carried a small bunch of orchids for the wedding which she later tossed in the air to the waiting fans. The couple are planning a full ceremony with 300 guests in May at a mansion outside Buenos Aires, followed by another wedding in Vancouver in April. —PTI
