‘30% couples split over dirty dishes’
One third of couples get divorced over dirty dishes and their partner not helping around the house, a new survey has found.
Although, infidelity and drifting apart still remain the most common reasons for a marriage breakdown, domestic issues play a part in three out of 10 divorces.
According to the research, the wife or husband having an affair causes 40 per cent of divorces, followed by drifting apart (35 per cent). Household concerns and partners not doing their fair share of chores account for 30 per cent, the Daily Express reported. Whatever the main cause, the poll of 1,000 adults, for a cleaning product firm, found 56 per cent of couples cite day-to-day domestic issues as a “major factor” when splitting. As many as 59 per cent said it is difficult staying in a relationship when one partner is not helping around the house.

Daniel Craig aims to be ‘inspirational’ Bond
Actor Daniel Craig says he always gives his best possible performance on set because he wants to be a great James Bond. The actor, who reprises his role as secret agent 007 in the franchise’s latest chapter Skyfall, said that he always gives his absolute best on set as he wants to be inspirational, reported Contactmusic.
“When I’m doing the movie I’m totally single-minded. I keep my energy levels as high as I can all the time. I want to inspire, and be inspired. And I’m lucky enough to work with some incredible people with vast experience,” Craig said. “I was standing on top of a train in Turkey with this crew of people, I looked around and I thought, ‘You know, this is the best place to be for an actor’. So I kind of give it all I’ve got, and then collapse for a while,” he added. — PTI
