‘I know how Bush felt after racism slur’
Kanye West has responded to George W. Bush’s revelation that he was left “disgusted” after the rapper accused him of racism, insisting he now knows how he felt about his racism accusations.
In a TV interview to be broadcast in America next week, Bush says that West’s declaration the then-President did not care “about black people” in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was “one of the most disgusting moments in my presidency”.
And in a radio chat on Wednesday, the Stronger hitmaker admitted he can now understand how Bush would have felt following the slur because he was also accused of racism when he ruined Taylor Swift’s winning moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, reported Contactmusic.
“I definitely can understand the way he feels to be accused of being a racist in any way, because... The same thing happened to me. I got accused of being a racist, and... with both situations, it was a lack of... Compassion that America saw in that situation,” said West.

Johansson to play alien in new film
Los Angeles: Scarlett Johansson is all set to play alien, who seduces humans in the new sci-fi drama Under the Skin. To be directed by Jonathan Glazer, the role is sure to please Johansson’s admirers.
But despite being a ruthless seductress, her character eventually gets pulled into the complexities of life on earth, the Hollywood Reporter said. “Johansson plays an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerising woman. She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey — her voracious sexuality,” Film Nation, the company behind the project said.
Glazer co-wrote the script with Walter Campbell and is eyeing production late spring 2011. —PTI
