‘Harry Potter success can’t be repeated’

Actor Daniel Radcliffe accepts he will never again achieve the career success he has had with Harry Potter. Radcliffe is getting ready for the release of the final movie in the franchise Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. “My aim is hopefully just continuing to work as much as I can. Obviously I’ll never be in anything with the commercially success that Harry Potter has but then again neither will anyone else,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted him as saying.
The actor who is currently living in New York and will take on the lead role in musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway from March 27, had reservations about singing in the production. “I love singing, I started having lessons when I was in the play Equus because I had to sing the Milky Bar theme tune and I was getting it wrong. I love my teacher, he’s a fantastic guy so the singing was something I’ve put a lot of work into,” he said.

Tom Hanks gets $100 for ‘babysitting’
London: Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey paid Tom Hanks $100 for indirectly “babysitting” his two-year-old son. McCona-ughey ran into Hanks, the voice behind Toy Story character Woody, at the Oscars this year and told him how his son Levi is a fan of the cartoon cowboy from the animated film franchise, reported Sun online. “His main thing is Toy Story. ‘Papa, I want to watch Woody, where’s Woody?’ And that’s his thing. We have to kind of govern him on it a little bit because it’s all the time.”
“And so I run into Hanks (on) Oscar evening and I slip him a $100 bill. And he says ‘What’s that for?’ And I says, ‘I owe you a lot more than that for the amount of time you’ve been babysitting my son Levi’,” said McConaughey. —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
