Tata-owned Jaguar Land Rover on Friday announced that it had reached “a landmark pay and conditions settlement” with the trade unions representing its workforce.
JLR, which employs 16,000 people, has now agreed to scrap its plan to close a plant. In September last year, JLR had annou-nced a new restructuring plan that would see closure of a plant by 2014. The firm has two plants for Jaguar and Range Rover in West Midlands.
