Tata Motors global sales jumps 36%
Tata Motors on Monday said that its global sales increased by 36 per cent in July to 90,646 units on robust demand for both commercial and passenger vehicles. Sales of luxury brands from Jaguar Land Rover were at 19,386 units during July, up 30 per cent from the same period last year, Tata Motors said. While sales of luxury sedans of Jaguar brand jumped by 26 per cent last month at 5,676 units, Land Rover sales were higher by 31 per cent at 13,710 units, it added. It said total passenger vehicles sales stood at 50,070 units in July 2010, a 42 per cent rise from the same month last year. Commercial vehicles sales were also up by 30 per cent to 40,576 units from July 2009.
