Tenant among 2 arrested for killing teen
Two persons were arrested in the murder case of a 15-year-old Class 10 student in Ranhola on June 8.
A senior police official said that accused, identified as Sonu and Amit, were held from Sonepat. The police recovered `3 lakhs in cash and gold jewellery from them.
“The family members of the deceased Guddu had gone to Chhapra, Bihar, to attend a wedding. Sonu, a tenant in the house, knew that Guddu’s father used to loan money on interest. He hatched a conspiracy with his associate Amit and killed Guddu before looting cash and jewellery. Sonu had become a suspect as he was missing after the incident,” said the police official.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his 30-year-old brother-in-law for `1,800 in Shahbad Dairy area of Outer Delhi.
A police official said the accused was identified as Anish.
“The accused Anish used to live with his brother-in-law Mehroof. Anish gave a loan of `1,800 to Mehroof few months ago. He was demanding his money back but Mehroof was not in a mood to repay. On June 11, while they were having liquor, Anish again asked Mehroof to return the money but he refused. Anish got angry and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon and fled. He was held on Thursday night,” said the official.
