Setback For Actor Salman Khan As UK Govt Rejects His visa Application
Days after a Mumbai sessions court framed charges against actor Salman Khan in a hit-and-run case, the Bollywood star suffered another setback Friday with the UK government rejecting his visa application.
The will delay the shooting of his upcoming film Kick.
Khan was supposed to join the cast and crew of Kick in Glasgow. The authorities have not provided any reason for rejection of the superstar’s visa. While it is being speculated that this would be a consequence of Salman’s involvement in the 2002 hit-and-run case, none of the reasons have been confirmed officially.
However, Khan’s father Salim said, “The visa was denied to him because some papers from Jodhpur were not there...the papers had not come. All this has happened because of a technical glitch.”

Sandhya’s son agrees to polygraph test
Age Correspondent
Mumbai, Aug. 2
Raghuveer, son of Sandhya Singh and the prime suspect in her murder case on Friday agreed to polygraph (lie-detector) and brain-mapping tests, but refused to be subjected to a narco-analysis examination.
In his application before a Navi Mumbai court, he has also put forward several conditions. Raguveer’s lawyer Kokila Kalra has requested that the tests be conducted at a laboratory outside Maharashtra. “We also want a medical practitioner and a lawyer to be present, when the tests are being conducted,” Ms Kalra argued.
The court has adjourned the hearing for August 8, when it will pronounce the final decision.
Additional CP (crime) Niket Kaushik confirmed the development.
