Raped teen identifies accused

The victim of gangrape incident of July 31 that also took place in the deserted Shakti Mills premises, has identified the minor accused involved in the crime. The Test Identification Parade process was held at the juvenile remand home in Dongri on Thursday.
The victim, a 19-year-old telephone operator from Mulund, identified the minor as one of the five culprits who had sexually assaulted her. The victim’s boyfriend, who is now her husband, has also identified the minor accused, a crime branch officer said.
During the parade, a group of persons, including the minor accused, were made to stand in front of the victim and her husband. They both identified the minor accused amongst the others, the official said. He added that the process was conducted under the supervision of a magistrate.
The minor accu-sed was arrested in the first week of September, while the other three accused Vijay Jadhav, Kasim Bengali and Salim Ansari were alrea-dy in police custody for their alle-ged involvement in the August 22 gangrape.
