Mohammad Ali Rd comes to life
As the holy month of Ramzan nears its end, The Asian Age looks at the most popular hotspot in the city — the famed Mohammad Ali Road — that has become a food haven for hungry Mumbaikars.
During Ramzan, people from all walks of life converge at Mohammad Ali Road in south Mumbai to binge on the various delicacies that are prepared and served over the duration of 30 days. Both the young and old, make it a point to visit Mohammadali Road at least once to partake in the lip-smacking fare that is dished out there.
Apart from the common mutton and chicken delicacies, the venue also serves some exotic dishes like patridge and fowls.

The venue comes to life soon after sundown and remains an avenue of undescribable hustle bustle till upto 4 am in the morning.

1 dead, 15 injured in 2 bus mishaps
Mumbai: Two accidents involving luxury buses took place on the Mumbai-Goa Highway in the Raigad district on Sunday morning. Both the accidents took place while the motorists were trying to overtake the other vehicle on the two-lane highway which does not have a divider. While in one accident, the luxury bus turned turtle injuring 15 persons, the second accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old girl. The first incident took place at around 2.15 am in the jurisdiction of Poladpur police station in Poladpur village. A luxury bus in a bid to overtake another vehicle got out of the road. To bring the bus back on the road, the 35-year-old driver of the bus swerved into the car, due to which it turned turtle. About 15 persons, including three women, suffered fractures on their body parts. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver Sachin Shinde. According to the Mahad city police station, the second accident took place sometime before 6 am in Mahad.
