Let children choose their career: speaker
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dilip Walse Patil on Sunday has appealed to the parents to allow their children to choose the field of their choice. Mr Patil said, “Karmveer Bhaurao Patil had opened the door of education for all. After which we all came to know that without education our progress would be possible. With the help of computers today, we could have the knowledge of the world sitting at home that has resulted creation of new opportunities in different sectors. We need to allow our child to choose the field of their choice. This will help them to achieve quality because they will find interest in doing their job in the best possible way.” He was speaking at the inauguration function of extension building of the Dr C.M. Mehta Girls School at Kopargaon.
Patil was a social activist and educator in Maharashtra and a strong advocate of mass education.
