Hazare back in Ralegan Siddhi
A day after he cut short his fast, anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare, who is unwell, reached his home village Ralegan Siddhi on Thursday afternoon.
In order to decide the future strategies of the team, core committee members Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodiya will meet the 74-year-old Gandhian in his home village a few days later.
Mr Hazare rested at the government guesthouse in Bandra after he ended his fast and left for Ralegan Siddhi on Thursday morning. As soon as Mr Hazare reached his village at 1.30 pm, he went straight to the Padmavati Bhakt Nivas, a resting room made for him in the village. Mr Hazare rested for the entire day. “Anna went to take some rest immediately after he reached Ralegan Siddhi. He will not meet any visitors. Two doctors examined him and advised him complete rest. The core committee members will also meet him only after three days,” said Sanjay Pathare, a close aide.
Mr Pathare said that the doctors had advised that he refrain from meeting anyone for a couple of days considering the fragile condition of his health. “The doctors said that he is very weak and needs complete rest. Anna will now participate only in the core committee meting and will desist from meeting visitors till then. While his temperature is under control, he is still coughing. Anna is taking medicines and the villagers are hopeful that he will recuperate soon,” added Mr Pathare.
