Dahisar rape: 2 more arrested
The Dahisar police on late Saturday night arrested two more persons in the alleged gangrape of a 16-year-old girl in Dahisar (east). The accused have been identified as Satyabhag Singh (55), accused of raping the victim in Kandivali (east) and Tushar Sharma (23), who took her to a Bhayander lodge and raped her.
The police had earlier arrested Radhika Mehta and Manojkumar alias Ganatra in the case. All the four accused were produced in a magistrate’s court and remanded to police custody. The police is on the lookout for her 24-year-old friend Hetal, who has been booked for abetting the crime.
The Dahisar police said that the victim, who lives in a Kajupada slum in Dahisar (east), was missing since the past one week. She somehow managed to flee from confinement and approached the police on Friday. She had claimed that elderly persons had spiked her drink and gangraped her in a Kandivali bungalow.
As per the complaint registered with the police, the victim’s mother on April 26 afternoon received a phone call from Hetal, who told her to send victim along with her for her birthday party.
She then met Hetal in the evening of April 26 who took her to the arrested accused Ganatra’s bungalow in Dahanukarwadi in Kandivali (west). After raping her Ganatra sold her off to two elderly persons in Malwani where she was confined for a week.
