Cops clueless in malwani murder case
The Malwani police is groping in the dark to find leads on the murder case of a youth who escaped from the clutches of his murderers, after being stabbed several times and reached the assistant commissioner’s office in Malad (west) late night on Friday.
The man, however, succumbed to his injuries before he could provide the police with any leads on the accused. Senior police inspector Abdul Rauf Shaikh of the Malwani police station said, “The 29-year-old has been identified as Adrar Sattar Ansari. He was identified on the basis of his driving licence found from his pocket. We are making inquiries with his friends and relatives.”
At around 11.45 am, Ansari, who has suffered four deep stab injuries on his neck and chest, came stumbling near the assistant commissioner’s office on the Marve Road in Malwani and collapsed on the floor. Police naik Mangesh Ivlekar posted at the ACP office spotted Ansari lying unconscious.
