Camera phone found in changing room of X-ray lab

A 26-year-old female patient at a medical diagnostic centre in Mulund discovered a hidden camera phone after changing into hospital robes in the changing room. The X-ray technician, after being confronted by the victim and her husband, threatened them with a knife and fled from the spot. The police registered an FIR on Wednesday night and has launched a manhunt for him.
Speaking to The Asian Age, the woman, who had come for a chest X-ray with her husband said, “We reached the Clinico Diagnostic Centre at Ganesh Gawde Road in Mulund (west) around 8.50 pm for a chest X-ray. The male technician in the X-ray room asked me to change into a different robe and directed me to the changing room. I came out and after the procedure, went back in to change into regular clothes. After changing, I found a white printed plastic bag with the clinic’s name on it hanging on the wall.”
“The bag had a hole and on opening it, I found a box of the Samsung Galaxy Core Duos series. I opened the box and found the cellphone which was set in the video recording mode. The cellphone had clearly captured me while I was changing my clothes,” she said. The woman then came out of the room and told her husband. The two asked the X-ray technician about the phone but he remained silent. They then brought the incident to the notice of the reception staff who feigned ignorance.
“We then asked the reception for the name of the X-ray technician who identified him as Ansar Mohammed Shaikh. We went into the X-ray room and again questioned Shaikh who took a knife from a nearby table and threatened us,” said the victim’s husband. Mr Shaikh then tried running away and injured a female staffer who attempted to stop him. He then disappeared taking advantage of the crowd that had gathered.
“The police then arrived and we narrated the incident to them. The hospital staff and doctors are involved in this racket since they asked us for proof of Shaikh’s involvement. The police supported us saying that Shaikh should not have run if he was innocent. The centre should be closed down immediately,” said the husband.
The Mulund police has registered an FIR under Section 292 (distributing obscene material), 509 (word, gesture or act insulting modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and relevant sections of the IT Act. ACP Vasant Tajne said they are on the lookout for Mr Shaikh.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
