Bail of 2 accused in vashi BUILDER’S murder rejected
The anticipatory bail application of Suresh Bijlani and Anurag Garg, two of the seven persons named in the FIR in the murder case of builder S.K. Lohiya, was rejected by the Belapur court on Wednesday. Navi Mumbai police commissioner A.K. Sharma confirmed the development.
Bijlani and Garg, along with five others had been accused of plotting Lohiya’s murder by the family of the deceased. The family had also claimed that Lohiya had received death threats from the seven accused.
In a related development, police sources said that the builder’s case had been transferred to the Mumbai crime branch.
Police sources said the process of official correspondence between the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai police commissionerates was intiated on Wednesday. This will make it the second case from Navi Mumbai, after the Sandhya Singh murder, to be transferred to the Mumbai police.
Despite repeated attempts, additional police commissioner Fattehsingh Patil, remained unavailable for comment.
