9-yr-old killed by mom’s ex-lover
A nine-year-old boy from Pune fell prey to horrible revenge driven by lust, after his mother’s former paramour killed him, as the woman refused to continue the affair.
According to the Dehu Road police, Sunanda Patil and her son Akshay (9) lived in the Ordnance Factory Officers Colony in Pune till four years ago, where Sunanda worked as a domestic help for some of the employees of the ordnance factory. After her husband Suresh died of asthma in 2008, the mother and son shifted to Bhiwandi with Sunanda’s brother.
“Here, Sunanda met Guddu Yadav and they had an affair. However, Yadav started pestering her to marry him and Sunanda was unwilling. Yadav then took to threatening her, saying that he would kill her son if she did not marry him. Sunanda then shifted back to Dehu Road in March,” said Ram Jadhav, police inspector, Dehu Road police station.
On Sunday evening, Yadav kidnapped Akshay from his home while Sunanda was at work.
He took him behind the Kendriya Mahavidyalaya in Dehu Road, strangled him to death and dumped his body in a secluded alley.
Yadav then went on to call Sunanda, telling her that he had carried out his threat.
Sunanda rushed to the spot to see her son’s dead body. She then informed the Dehu Road police, and a complaint of murder and kidnapping was registered.
“Four teams have been sent to different areas to trace and apprehend Yadav,” Mr Jadhav added.
