Youngsters wear their emotions on their tees
There should be a special prison for stupid people or I Do What The Voices In My Wife’s Head Tell Me To Do.
The above statements stop you in your tracks and prompt you to take another look, especially when they are displayed on the front or back of someone’s T-shirt.
These kind of witty one-liners have now become statements that define the wearer’s personality. Without saying anything out loud, wearing a T-shirt with words on printed it can now allow a youngster to speak his mind, take a stand on an issue or simply say something funny. Having a message printed on your t-shirt can also be a great way to win friends and start conversations.
Donning such T-shirts also give you a distinct personality. Janvi Sachdev, a first-year commerce student says, “Teenagers are supposed to have fun, and tees with slogans are a great way to be in the limelight. People stop and take notice of what is written.”
The words can be a message, a slogan or simply a way of expressing yourself.
“Such T-shirts are attention grabbers. I saw a girl wearing a tee that said, ‘Do you believe in love at first sight or do I have to walk back again?’ When you see such remarks, you tend to gaze and look a second time, which might be offensive,” says Lucky Thakker, a twelfth standard student.
Wearing such tees are also seen as a great way of attracting the attention of the opposite sex.
