Why is this artist popular among kids?
Artist Chris Carlson is the toast of kids and even a few grown-ups across the world, his special talent being to bring to life many of one’s favourite childhood video games, using 3D chalk drawings!
A YouTube celebrity in his own right with most of his awesome work going viral, his latest project features an absolutely incredible, real-life version of Mario Kart! Complete with mushrooms, Koopa Shells and Bullet Bills, the video shows him painstakingly build his creation slowly, finally bringing it to life in the real world. According to Mashable, artist Carlson has early brought to life animated videos of other legendary games, such as Tetris, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots and Minecraft.
The must-watch clips shows a 3D rendering of Mario’s Yoshi speeding down real suburban streets at breakneck speed, dodging and crashing into obstacles, people and homes everywhere! Now if that doesn’t jog back some childhood memories, nothing will.
