Who takes the best psychedelic selfies?
Experimental artist Alex DeForest has found a unique way to bring beauty back to the self-portraits. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, this photographer uses flashlights, fibre optics and other props to create amazing selfies. He captures these incredible images by triggering his camera’s remote with his toe and the ‘light painting’ technique he uses, provides movement to his photos. According to The Daily Mail, DeForest sets up these do-it-yourself portraits in his spare bedroom and he lines up the shot, sits on an ice chest and triggers the camera. He says he uses flashlights and fibre optic toys which he buys from local grocery stores for the pictures, adding that he was inspired to try light painting after exploring works of artists like Patrick Rochon and Aurora Crowley.
