Where would you find this photographer at night?
Xavier Nuez can be found shooting alleys and ruins during the night in an attempt to find solace by taking pictures that confronted an old connection with his life on the streets. The photographer has travelled the length of the United States of America to photograph colour-drenched images of urban alleys and ruins with his special Hasselblad camera. The Huffington Post reported the man saying that he enjoyed the natural ‘chaos’ which formed a part of the backside of buildings, unlike the front, which is ‘ordered’. His images have come in for appreciation for its aesthetic appeal, which, art lovers say are capable of extracting beauty and drama from vandalised ugliness. The photographer says his inspirations are the works of Robert Frank and Henri Bresson.
