This March, India just won't be able to stop dancing. The world's No. 1 and 2 DJs (as polled by DJ Mag) are set to perform back to back in the country, making it a landmark month for EDM in the region. Armin Van Buuren and his compatriot Tiesto are both bringing their signature trance tunes to India, much to the delight of fans.

And even before Mumbai and Delhi can get a breather, Avicii will be down to spin their socks off in April.
Says Nikhil Chinappa, whose Submerge is at the helm of all these events, "Though Tiesto has played here before, this is his first proper India tour covering Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. We got lucky with Armin. He is in the middle of a global tour spanning Mexico, Sao Paulo, Minsk, Beirut, Kuala Lampur and we were able to bring him down for a day. Immediately after the show in Mumbai, he'll be heading to Miami."
Nikhil also confirms that he expects a sizeable contingent from neighbouring countries of Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka to come down for the shows, in addition to many youngsters from other Indian cities. "India is no longer the future. It's the present. It is established itself now as a global destination for EDM and we are seeing a surge in music tourism as a result," he says. Mohammed Ifthikar from Colombo is already booking his tickets for the Bengaluru leg of Tiesto's tour. "It's a tough choice but Bengaluru is the closest to me. And also once Tiesto comes on stage, he really shows you why he is one the biggest names today. His sound is amazing and the visuals keep things exciting. I absolutely don't want to miss this," he says.
Armin who is currently resting at home in preparation of his global tour, couldn’t be contacted. “So excited to bring Club Life to India for the first time in March! See you in Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore,” Tiesto tweeted to his 1.5 million followers.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
