When can you get interactive Angry Birds?
Next month. Players can use actual Angry Birds-Star Wards collectible toys (Telepods) in order to unlock their corresponding characters in the game.
Here’s how it works: the Telepod figures are each about an inch high and depict Angry Birds versions of popular Star Wars characters. There are characters fans already know from the previous game, as well as popular, new additions from the Star Wars prequels such as Jar Jar Binks, General Grievous and Darth Maul. Each figure has a code on its base that can be scanned by the cameras on iOS, Android, Windows 8 and Blackberry phones and tablets. During the game, players can decide to import one of their action figures in place of the character sitting on the slingshot at the start of the level.
The game will always feature a new “Pork Side” mode, which will allow players to toss the Empire pigs from the slingshot. Apparently, Hasbro sent employees to Helsinki to work with Rovio for several weeks to perfect the design, reported Mashable. The new YouTube video shows how the interactive toys shall function, with even a funny premise.

Why are these treasure maps different?
They represent movies! Illustrator Andrew Degraff created these maps using a palette of two to 15 premixed colours of gouache with colour blocking and line on top to make each map look almost like a vintage treasure map, reported Wired. These maps bring specific locations to life, and to map out the paths of famous characters.
But unlike a treasure map, there is no X to mark the spot of the movie’s finished story. Each coloured line is followed; that helps to trace the paths of the characters at your own pace, feeling like you are on the same journey they took. The other half could come from a combination of challenging friends to a movie trivia showdown, and figuring out all the little details DeGraff included from each movie.
