What does Draw My Life mean?

The latest Internet meme to hit YouTube this year; a recollection of one’s life down the ages in the form of stick figures.
The timeline covers all the rites of passage — from when one was a crying infant to that first kiss, relationships, possibly one’s parents’ divorce, jobs taken. Two or three decades of life are represented through the drawings, then sped up in the video with a voice over explaining the artwork. These videos often also showcase how a person has grown and changed throughout their life.
According to Know Your Meme, YouTuber and former Big Brother 11 housemate Sam Pepper uploaded the first Draw My Life video. In the five-minute video, Pepper used an erasable white board to draw the story of his life from when he was born to when he moved from England to Los Angeles.
But not all Draw My Life videos represent a happy life. Some users upload artworks on abusive parents and failed relationships, in a poignant, striking manner, which has further popularised the trend.
Currently, there exist more than 850,000 search results for Draw My Life on YouTube. Many well-known YouTubers have participated in the trend including Ryan Higa, Jenna Marbles, etc.
