What changes did a girl make to art?
Artist Mica Hendricks found an unlikely partner with whom to collaborate on her paintings: her four-year-old daughter! She was adding her own whimsical twists to her mother’s incomplete paintings. Mica, reluctant at first, later started to sketch heads for her child to add colourful, whimsical bodies and an appropriate setting for each painting. Based on how a painting had turned out, Mica would add her own twists with more colour and acrylic paint to tie the piece together. The results are these adorable hybrids of intricately shaded faces, paired with fat bodies. According to Mashable, the hybrid manages to bring softness to serious expressions with grinning flowers and other additions. The artistic duo’s paintings are now selling at high prices at the Society 6 Art Gallery where they are currently displayed.
