WEDDING WOW!
The Punjabi bride
Set the base of the look with the right foundation, and a hint of blush to accentuate the cheek bones. The eyes can be played up by merging shades like gold and pink with shimmer and a generous use of mascara. Colour the lips in hues of pink and a touch of gloss. The hair should be straightened, tied up in a bun and crowned with gold embellishments.
The Muslim bride
Begin with the right foundation to create the canvas for the rest of the make-up. Apply a shade of green to the corner of the eyes along with some gold shimmer and mascara for perfectly defined lashes. Pick a metallic colour for the lips and dab on a shade of gold to add an extra touch of glamour. The hair should be straightened, pulled back in a traditional plait, adorned with delicate hairpieces.
The Tamilian/ Kannadiga bride
The ancestry of the ethnic Tamil bride reflects in the gorgeous use of subtle tones like bronze and maroon. Bold kohl eyes, striking long lashes and deep maroon coloured lips add to her mystique. Blend a golden base for the eyes with shades of green and silver. Her hair should be done up with a middle parting and a thick long braid adorned with gajras.
The Catholic bride
Give your face natural radiance by adding a rosy hint to your cheeks, and a touch of shimmer. Apply a nude shade to the eyelid, blend in with some silver and run a thin black line over the lash line. Smudge the lower lids with a shade of brown for a natural look. Use a rosy lip colour. The hair should be held back loosely. Use pearl embellishments.
The Marwari bride
Highlight the cheekbones with a slight tint of rosy blush. Cover the lower outer eye lids in shades of gold, brown and a smudge in a dash of black. Highlight the eyebrows with a metallic shade of gold and attain flawless thick lashes by adding a dash of mascara. Use a warm copper for the lips. Tie the hair up in a bun, and decorate with accessories.
The Bengali bride
Achieve deep set kohl eyes for a traditional look. Generous amounts of mascara and deeply-lined eyes highlight the bride’s features. Hints of bronze and gold on her cheeks give her a delicate blush. A deep shade of maroon on the lips completes the make-up. Her hair should be parted in the middle with a slight puff on the sides and an elaborate big bun.
