A tale of silent dreams
Krishna Murali, director of the short film Let Me, spends most of his days at coffee shops with a laptop in front of him. It is in these coffee shops, that his stories are formed. Suraj Khan, his friend took it up as the first venture of his Lifeclick Productions.
“It is the story of a mute boy’s vacation, played by Ashik Arun. It is mostly silent, there is only a small narration in the beginning. He goes home for vacation from his boarding school and witnesses his parents on the verge of a break-up. He meets a girl there, played by Chaitanya, who is, in fact, mute in real life too,” says Krishna.
After spending eight years working in a corporate company in Dubai, Krishna moved back to India and worked patiently towards his dream of making cinema. “All of us who got together for this film are from a corporate background,” he says. The National Institute of Speech and Hearing had also helped in the making of the film. Krishna has finished the script of two full length feature films. One of them is a female-oriented film while the other is a thriller.
