Sunny’s effect on BB5

After Pamela Anderson’s brief appearance in Big Boss season 4, the fifth season will soon get its dose of spice with Indo-Canadian adult film star Sunny Leone aka Karen Melhotra making a wild card entry in the house. Despite all the high voltage drama, fake catfights and even a three-day appearance by Swami Agnivesh failed to generate hype, the makers have now roped in the adult film star, with a hope of raising the glam quotient of the reality series.
But will her presence change the show’s fortune? As Sunny Leone entered the house wearing a red and green lehenga, fans are excited and curious about the oomph factor she is going to bring to the show.
Says Shikha Rawat, who’s following the show regularly, “This time there has been no, flirting, romance link-ups on the show. Sunny’s entry just might just create some hook-up stories with the three boys in the house. After Pamela’s skirt made out of a bandana and bikini tops, I’m eager to see her outfits on the show. As the season remained all girls’ show, her entry will definitely increase the number of male viewers.”
Seconds Neha Singh (name changed), and says, “Bigg Boss 5 has failed to live up to its image. It lacks the punch which previous seasons had. Though last year, Dolly Bindra was irritating, but it was fun to watch her explode on the screen. As Sunny is an adult film actress, I’m really curious to see her doing the household chores. Also, I can’t wait to see whether she will go desi or will parade around in a bikini or a skirt.”
Few are also eager to see the real side of the adult film actress. Rahul Sachdeva, a film student says, “The show will bring out the real side of a porn star. I’m curious about how Sunny is going to behave with the housemates, her adjusting factor and other facets of her personality. This is the first time we will get to see a personal side of an adult film star as an ordinary girl in the house.”
But Monica Nathani, an IAS aspirant is not happy about getting an adult film star on the show. She says, “Didn’t we have enough of Pooja Misra already? An adult film star is the last thing we want on the show. There is enough shouting inside the house. With the never ending fights and cheap comments made by male contestants on the show, I wonder how an adult film star will be treated? I hope the makers know they cater to a family audience.”
