‘The star of my life’

I always have time for my best friend — Brando, my sweet little pooch. I could heave praises about my pet for hours together and never be bored. He is the darling of my house and I consider him as the real ‘star’ of my life! It’s a responsibility to bring home a pet!
My cocker spaniel puppy, Brando, means the world to me! I’ve named him Marlon Brando as a tribute to the legendary movie star. I am a huge fan of his. The puppy arrived around the same time as the actor’s death. So it’s my way of carrying forward a legacy.
I’ve always wanted a puppy. It’s like having a baby at home. Brando is like my best friend. He’s the most adorable pooch on the planet.
Everytime I go for a long shoot I miss him. When I get back home, it’s such a delight to watch Brando go crazy with joy. My parents take care of him when I’m away. I feel so bad because he sulks so much when I’m away for long.
It’s amazing how animals share our joys and sorrows and Brando is very sensitive to my feelings. He knows when I’m feeling low and at times I vent all my ire on him. He can’t talk back but he definitely emotes.
I don’t think cats are trustworthy. So if ever I have another pet, it’ll be another pooch.
