‘SRK is a charmer,’ says Priya Mani

Priya Mani is excited about doing an item number with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express. Director Rohit Shetty approached the National award winner who has said in interviews that she had no qualms about being part of item songs if they were offers from big banner productions and had heroes that commanded mass fan appeal.

Priya has signed the deal, and recently posted on her micro-blogging site, “Off to pune in a bit!!! and then to Wai!!!!Shoot for Chennai Express starts tomorrow…excited and kicked!!!!kickass song!!!” The film has Deepika Padukone in the lead.
The song was shot in Wai, and reportedly, Priya headed straight for the sets and met everyone before checking into the hotel.
She tweeted, “Just came to the hotel after meeting everyone on the sets!! From Rohit Shetty to SRK to Deepika Padukone! Very sweet and down to earth people!!”
Responding to a query on whether she got tongue-tied before SRK, a charmer with the ladies, Priya said, “He is! I am looking forward to dancing with him.” Meanwhile, sources say Priya is being trained in horseriding and archery for her action-packed role in Chandy, which has a female-centric subject. The actress went through a gruelling schedule during the last few days in Hyderabad.
