Shah Rukh slaps Farah’s husband

It was a big night for Sanjay Dutt. The actor had invited the who’s who of the film industry to celebrate the success of Agneepath. But what was supposed to be a night of celebration turned into a nightmare for the guests — Shah Rukh Khan and Shirish Kunder. The buzz is that Khan and Kunder got into a heated argument over an old issue.
Apparently, throughout the evening Kunder kept taking digs at SRK about the disastrous opening of Ra.One and Don 2. But SRK couldn’t stand the mockery and slapped Kunder. “It was shocking to see SRK slap Kunder,” says an eyewitness.
Kunder is married to director Farah Khan. And after Farah and SRK fell out with each other, the equations have been quite strained. “Kunder kept rambling about something and made sure that he was always around SRK at the party. Shah Rukh tried to avoid the situation because he did not want to spoil his friends’ party. But Kunder refused to budge!” says an actress who witnessed the fracas.
According to the guests present at the party, SRK was provoked to a point where he couldn’t help but slap Kunder. “The party just came to a standstill. I don’t know what transpired between them but I saw SRK holding Kunder by his collar,” says an eyewitness.
Rumours are that both SRK and Dutt ganged up against Kunder, but according to our sources, it was host Dutt, who intervened at the right time, and calmed the situation. “Dutt tried to pacify the situation and escorted Kunder to his car. It was around 3.30 am when a battered Kunder left the party. But SRK stayed on till 5.30 am,” says our source.
Disheartened at the proceedings of Sunday night, Farah says, “Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem. Being the first to raise your hand implies you have a personal or professional crisis going on in your life. It saddens me to see him doing the same.”
Shirish Kunder later tweeted saying that they did not intend filing a police complaint against SRK.
A few people present at the party said that SRK has been in a grumpy mood lately. Some say it’s because his two films — Ra.One and Don 2 — flopped at the box-office, and others blame it on the rumours of his alleged affair with Priyanka Chopra, causing rifts in his marriage.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
