See God in every particle

The discovery of the Higgs boson particle (let’s not forget ‘boson’ which is named after an Indian scientist Satyendra Nath Bose) or the ‘God particle’ makes us see ancient wisdom in a new light. God is in every particle, of every single thing is what it means, when our Vedas say, Aham Brahmasmi! The Geeta says, ‘God penetrates and interpenetrates every living and non-living thing’.

This is the exact description of the Higgs boson — the agent that made the stars, planets and life possible by giving mass to the most elementary particles, the building blocks of the universe, hence the nickname ‘the God particle’.
Bose (1894-1974), a physicist from Kolkata and a contemporary of German scientist Albert Einstein, did path breaking work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s. However, Bose never won the Nobel Prize, even though in later years the award was given several times for research on bosons. In my view, “boson” can be re-written as Bose. Why mutilate the name of that brilliant Indian? Bose particles, sounds infinitely better. “India is like a historic father of the project,” said Paolo Giubellino, spokesman of the Geneva-based CERN.
Vasudeva Kutambakam, the world is a family, say the ancient sages. Non-living things too are said to have consciousness. Action plan:
Love and revere yourself.
Find and build on the best in others.
Enjoy nurturing a plant or flowers.
Adopt and care for a pet.
Treat all objects in life with care.
Be proud to be Indian and stand up for your intellectual rights.
As they would say at the French Open: Love all! And the highest potential in that person or thing will manifest itself.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
