Salman wins the battle of stars on small screen

It’s a clash of Bollywood titans on TV. While Amitabh Bachchan is once again ruling the hot seat of KBC 4 as host, macho Salman Khan and stunt hero Akshay Kumar is back with Bigg Boss and Masterchef, after giving charismatic performances as hosts on the popular shows Dus Ka Dum and Khatron Ke Khaladi. With superstars engaged in small screen’s big war, city youngsters talk about the most appealing and charming host among the three bigwigs ruling the small screen.
For Nitika Algah, a media professional, it has to be only Salman Khan. “He is a showstealer. He has the ability to pull off a great show with sheer enthusiasm. Salman’s mischievous nature and ability to touch people’s heart makes him the perfect host. He was awesome in Dus Ka Dum and is doing great in Bigg Boss as well. ”
But for a few it’s Big B, who tops the list as the man with charisma. Abhishek Malhotra, a law student says, “It has to be Amitabh Bachchan. His persona and affability, add to his baritone. He can’t be matched. I used to actually miss his presence on TV, when he wasn’t there for one whole season. Although Shah Rukh Khan did a good job, somewhere down the line I feel that Big B has his special way of connecting with the audience.”
Aditi Kapoor, an event manager says that he paved the way for other actors to host game and reality shows with KBC. After Khatron Ke Khiladi, even Akshay is back with a bang to host a culinary show.
Says Ruchi Gangwar, an MBA student, “He is so witty and funny on the show, that I don’t feel like missing any episode. Akshay took KKK to great heights with his inimitable style and I’m sure Masterchef with him will be equally lively.”
