It’s the season of remakes and the South Indian film industry seems to be the current favourite destination for production houses scouting for potential Hindi film scripts. The latest news is that UTV Motion Pictures has bought the rights of Telugu film Arya 2 for an official Hindi remake, and according to an industry source, they are all set to approach Salman Khan to play the lead.
“UTV has bought the rights of the film recently and they will be approaching Salman to play the lead role very soon because according to them, he really suits the character. Others who will be approached for the film have not been confirmed as of now,” says the source.
The Telugu romantic comedy, which was a sequel to Arya, was directed by Sukumar. He will be directing the Hindi version as well. The original film starred Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal and is the story of a man who falls in love with a girl in his office. However, his friend falls for the same girl as well.
