‘Sallu’s already a superhero’

Recently back from the Cannes Film Festival in France, where he promoted his film Shortcut Romeo, director Susi Ganesan has already begun working on his next project. The film is a 3D superhero action thriller and the director wishes to bring Salman Khan on board.

Although some time back, Salman had mentioned that he was not interested in being a superhero, Susi is quite hopeful and is already done with the script.
While most of Salman’s fans would like to see him as a superhero and feel that it’s time Salman plays one, others say that Dabangg Khan is already a superhero and he doesn’t need to slip into a costume.
Actor Ash Chandler says, “Isn’t he a superhero already? Isn’t he doing that already? I mean what can Batman do that Chubul Pandey can’t 20 times over? Move over Spiderman, Superman and He-Man, here comes our HU-Man.”
Director Rraj Kaushal adds, “Salman is already a superhero. However, I would definitely like to see him play a desi version of Batman or Ironman. I would want him to be a real man with super abilities rather than super powers — classy, rich and undercover.”
Another fan of the big-hearted star, and a freelance photographer Anshuman Dwivedi says, “Salman is my hero. He has a larger than life image. His built and good looks only adds to his persona. However, most of the superheroes are underdogs and unsung in their real lives. It could be difficult to imagine Salman being a no one with a hidden identity.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
