Ritu cooks for city foodizens
Celebrity chef, astute entrepreneur, popular cookbook author and TV host, Ritu Dalmia dons several hats. Prior to its third edition, NDTV Good Times Food Awards, Ritu organised Meet the Chef series, wherein food lovers from across the country were invited to meet their favourite chefs and cook with them.
Talking about her love for Italian cuisine, she says, “I have been a lover of Italian cuisine since the age of 10, when I used to visit the country with my father,” she recalls.
At the session, she invited foodizens to help her prepare risotto with pumpkin and red wine and pearl barley salad with pomegranate and avacado.
Known for her collection of wines she says, “Italian cuisine is served best with a good wine. The latter is essential to enjoy a hearty meal.”
Apart from Italian cuisine, what does she savour? “Every week it changes, depending on my mood. However, being a Marwari, I love the traditional aloo-dahi ki sabzi with missi roti,” she says.
