Rajini comes to Kamal’s support

While the biggies of the Tamil film industry are keeping a stoic silence on the Vishwaroopam issue, Superstar Rajinikanth has come to the fore in support of close friend Kamal Haasan, vouching for his good intentions in the whole imbroglio. “Kamal Haasan is my great friend and we’ve been sharing a good rapport for over four decades.

I know him well and even in his thoughts he would never hurt anyone,” said Rajini. In a press note, he stated, “By screening Vishwaroopam for Muslim friends even before its release after they made a request, Kamal has proved that he has great respect and love towards them.”
He adds, “My heart goes to Kamal when I realise the kind of effort he would have made to produce Vishwaroopam at a mammoth budget of `100 crores. It is Kamal who has taken Tamil cinema to global level.” Rajini further requested, “I wish that our Muslim friends hold discussions with Kamal when he returns from USA and ensure the release of Vishwaroopam without affecting its storyline.”
