Paint your thoughts
The Ministry of Power has launched a national awareness campaign to promote energy conservation. Part of the plan is a painting competition for school students at the state and national level. The contest (on November 14) will not only make children aware about the need for conserving energy, but also educate and involve their parents in the cause. Open to students from Classes IV to VI, participation is through schools. School principals will organise a painting competition of a two-hour duration at their schools. Students can pick any one of the following theme topics: Save current, save currency; Save electricity to energise more homes; and Save fuel, save the environment. Children can use crayons, pencil colour, water colours, etc.
