Neil likes it slow and steady
Neil Nitin Mukesh has said it. The actor, who takes pride in making it on his own in the industry, admits that it was struggle that made him tough from within. “The general perception is that celebrity kids always have it easy. But I had to go through the grind,” says Neil.
The actor has some big names in his kitty like Yash Chopra, Vishal Bharadwaj and Abbas Mustan. He says, “If a director has a clear vision about the product he wants to make, then half the battle is won. I truly believe that a director has the capability of turning an average film into a masterpiece.” At this moment Neil is looking forward to the release of Players. Apparently, the actor has signed up for a three-film contract with director duo Abbas Mustan. “Obviously, it’s a call that is taken by the directors. Maybe they saw the potential in me and they are fabulous at their work, so it works for both ways.” After Players, Neil is going to start work on the re-make of Baazigar. Understandably the actor doesn’t want to reveal too much about it. “It’s premature to talk about a film that is in the pre production stage,” he says. He might not have had big films to his credit but Neil is still in no rush to reach at the top. “I’d rather go slow. I want to do all the right films that will help me take myself a step ahead. I don’t want to take hasty decisions and later regret it.” Like a confident contender he believes that slow and steady wins the race.
