More ‘star’ry nights on TV

The action is at least a month away, but these TRP-making shows are already creating a huge buzz. We’re talking about Kaun Banega Crorepati 4, Bigg Boss 4 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 3, few of the most popular shows on Indian TV.

The phone lines have opened for registration to KBC 4. Reportedly, they received 1.5 lakh calls within the first five minutes. With the one and only Amitabh as the host, the show is much-awaited. Says actress Aindrita Ray, “AB does such a fabulous job. While Shah Rukh Khan, as a host, appeals to youngsters, AB has universal appeal.”
Khatron Ke Khiladi 3 will also be back with a bang. This time with hottie Priyanka Chopra as host. Restaurateur Himesh Arora, says, “Priyanka is a dear friend and I can’t wait to see her on KKK. She has gone through vigorous martial arts training and is sure to rock the show.” Ask him who he’d like to see in the latest season of Bigg Boss, and he says, “My friend Akashdeep Sehgal, who created a controversy in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao will be perfect. He’s a crazy guy and has a lot of fun getting in and out of strifes. Halle Berry would also be good. Apparently, she likes walking around in the buff. Of course, Sallu will make a perfect host since he’s got his own brand of spontaneous humour.”
