Men like it ‘easy’

Singer Taylor Swift and boyfriend Conor Kennedy are no longer the ‘happy couple’. Even before they could think of the ‘happily ever-after’ stage, their relationship has gone kaput. The reason was just simple — the ‘M for Marriage’ word. With Taylor getting too serious too fast — Conor just couldn’t go ahead dealing with the serious talk.

Does this mean all men just part ways when their lady love hits a serious note?
“If the time is right, it’s just right! While a few just want to date, there are others who want to get hitched. It depends on the time spent together and if the relationship has reached that stage. Breaking up is not the solution,” says celebrity tattoo artist Tarun Kumar. To be or not to be, a man always finds it hard to decide. But the young Indian urban male believes things can be sorted out. “Talking is the best way to find a solution. A mutual understanding to give space is the key, so that the partner does not get too dependent on you,” says fashion photographer Dev Purbiya.
With the lady love playing a dominant role in the relationship, many times she gets away with her tantrums. Being in love with the person you love is all that matters. “Love is the manifestation of commitment. It’s an amalgamation of all the emotions. So when you are confident about your partner, why do you get cold feet when asked for a commitment? It is normal for anyone to ask for commitment. So if the lady is asking, you just have to be sure about your relationship,” says model Freddy Daruwala.
Despite all the talk and bonding, when the going gets tough and the man has to call it an end, he does. But does that mean the lady has no second chance? “If I love her, I will surely give her a second chance. Love has no reason or logic,” says actor Mrunal Jain from Uttaran.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
