Men go crazy over dream machines
A man’s machine comes close only to his woman and in some cases, exceeds even her. All men salivate and dream about owning a ride that would fly them instantly to their happy place. The high speed thrills, the roaring motor sounds, the ecstasy of getting one’s hands on that coveted steering or handle are the things that automobile fantasies are made of. But more often than not, these dream machines are vehicles they would buy only if they could.
Kanak Sood, an engineering student hopes to own a Porsche Cayenne. “Priced at Rs 1.66 crore, it offers all imagined and unimagined luxury on the road. It is an amazing sports utility vehicle, which is not only business appropriate, but also a lot of fun on camping trips,” he says. “It’s an aggressive, but classy SUV and above all a Porsche,” he says.
Sujeet Singh, who works with an MNC loves travelling and going for trips and needs a vehicle that matches his free-spirited, outdoorsy personality. “It has to be the jeep for me, as that vehicle has a spirit of its own. The power that one can feel on this 4X4 wheel drive is insane, merely holding the steering gives you a kick,” he says. Owning a Bullet motorcycle in person, he feels it fills all his demands from a vehicle. “The Royal Enfield Bullet is a favourite as it has time and again proved its mettle on the Indian terrain,” he boasts.
Being a professional pilot, Austin James is a self-confessed machine lover and his favourite remains the BMW M5 for its precise, German technology. “It is the best-handling saloon car in the world and not as expensive as other sports vehicles. Not only that, it is big enough for four people and has all the comforts of a luxury car,” he says adding that he likes the Yamaha R 1 bike due to its amazing good looks and high speed. While Khalid Wani, who owns an event management company can’t stop thinking about the Pontiac GTO 1967. “I have always loved vintage cars and this first-of-a-kind muscle car continues to be one of the most beautiful cars of all times. The 398 to 400 cid V-8 defines BAD and thunders the road every time the car passes alongside,” he says.
