‘Married life is great’
She might have been born to French parents, but she will amaze you with her flawless Tamil (all thanks to her schooling in Ooty). Actress Kalki Koechlin, who was seen playing roles with dark shades in her previous films, will be treading a new path in her latest flick Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. “It’s a fun and uplifting road movie with some philosophy,” she says. Playing a comical character was a breath of fresh air for Kalki. “I had fun, plus I could look all pretty and not be covered in blood,” she quips.
Like most films that are in the news for catfights between actresses, this one too has been talked about for the alleged ‘problems’ between Kalki and Kat. “I have to ignore such news or laugh at it. Sadly, most gossip news is not about portraying the truth, but grabbing attention. Not one person had called me to ask my opinion of Kat before writing this,” she says.
On the personal front, Kalki’s life couldn’t be better with her having tied the knot with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who she dated for three years. “Married life has been great, just as living together with Anurag was,” she says. Now that Anurag’s been learning Tamil from her, how well-versed is he with the language? “He’s terrible! I’m been trying to teach him French and Tamil, but he only likes to know bad words and how to say, ‘I love you’!”
