Mallika casts her spell...
Kalasala from Osthe has been in the news for a long time now. The Tamil version of Munni Badnaam Hui had made all the right noises when Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s names were being tossed around. Finally Mallika Sherawat stepped in and the evergreen L.R. Easwari lent her voice to it.
The male vocals sung by T. Rajendran, the song one hears has been not compromised on and every penny has been spent on look, locations and promotion.
Simbu who was cocooned away in Mysore for the shooting of his film, says, “Mallika is such a fun professional. She has the right attitude towards work and people. It was a pleasure working with her. Not very often do we meet people who we can relate to and yet kept it uncomplicated.”
Mallika even reportedly stated that this song will be ‘more upbeat than Munni’ and is looking forward to its release. Sources say Simbu loved the interaction with Mallika while shooting for the number and was even happy to share lighter moments with her.
Those in the filmi circles say, “Mallika brought out the best in Simbu. He was in his best behaviour, was extremely professional and helped Mallika with her moves too.”
Even close friends of the actor who requested anonymity shared, “He was visibly excited seeing Mallika on set. She looked ravishing and they both had a good time dancing since both are very good dancers. Simbu even rehearsed a lot to get it all right.”
