Lucky Ali’s back, at his own pace
After a gap of almost five years, Lucky Ali is back with his distinctive signature voice. He recently launched the first part of his album Xsuie, which means “At your own pace” and even directed a music video, which has been released online.
Talking about his album, Lucky says Xsuie is fusion music, which still remains simple in form. Lucky adds that he’s composed 24 songs for the album, and the second part will soon be released. Talking about his self-imposed sabbatical, he says he stayed away from making music commercially. “I spent time with myself and pursued my goals. Music was always with me,” he said.
Lucky said he finds it difficult to follow market forces and make music accordingly. “I make music to express myself through them. In the last five years, I have been pursuing inner music,” he said.
It’s this desire and the creative streak, which took him forward. “I went through massive rejections. It frustrated me, as I wanted to say so much, but couldn’t,” he says.
