Laphroaig wins big at IWSC contest
Laphroaig, a richly flavoured Scotch whisky, has been awarded with top honours for five of its expressions by the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
Laphroaig 18-Year-Old was awarded the Gold Outstanding Award, which is only awarded at the judges’ discretion, and Laphroaig 10-Year-Old, 10-Year-Old Cask Strength, Quarter Cask, and Triple Wood all won Silver Outstanding Awards.
“We are honoured to be recognised with these prestigious awards by the International Wine and Spirit Competition,” said John Campbell, master distiller for Laphroaig. “For 200 years, we’ve focused on delivering rich, unique and distinct Islay Scotch whisky,” he added.
