Kangna feels she’s been plain lucky
Kangna Ranaut has always defied the norms of Indian film industry with her on-screen characters. From Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Life In A Metro, Fashion and Tanu Weds Manu, the actress has been fortunate to experiment with her roles. “I think I was just plain lucky. When I joined the Indian film industry, filmmakers were looking for fresh faces to play edgy characters,” recalls Kangna. After a spate of successful films, Kangy is gearing up for her first action role in Krishh 2.
“I’m training big time for Krishh 2. I want to have a toned body that will do justice to my character in the film,” she says. And the Ranaut girl is optimistic about not getting lost in an ensemble star cast like in Krishh 2. “I’ve worked in multi-starrers in the past, and I’d like to believe that I had a fairly good role in them. I can assure you that people will be pleasantly surprised to see me in Krishh 2. It’s something that I’ve never attempted,” she says.
Last year might not have been smooth sailing for Kangna. After a few flop films like Rascals and No Problem and a few ruffled equations with Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn, she did manage to hold her own with Tanu Weds Manu. And then there is her newfound friendship with Salman Khan and family. “My association with the Khan family and their Mumbai Hero’s team is because of my friendship with Sohail. I do know Salman but he is not the reason for me endorsing his team.”
