It’s time for a makeover
Activision has announced some major changes to the multiplayer mode of the industry’s most successful franchise, Call of Duty.
The first new addition introduced in Call of Duty: Ghosts is a mode called Cranked. It works in very simple ways, yet is very effective in encouraging risk-taking. As soon as the player gets a kill, he needs to get another kill within the next 30 seconds. If the player is not able to get another kill, he/she will explode. If that doesn’t get the campers moving then I don’t know what will? The second new game mode is called Search & Rescue. Similar to Search & Destroy, players need to plant bombs or defend successfully in order to win. Players also don’t re-spawn if they are killed but dead players drop dog tags which can be picked up by their teammates or enemies to affect their re-spawn.
They also announced a collection of new guns, killstreaks and character customisation options. Players can now compete as a female, and completely customise the look of their character. Classes work similar to Black Ops II, but perks have gone through radical changes.
