‘I give out a hot vibe’

Former Gladrags model and actor Shweta Bhardwaj, who was seen flaunting her sexy curves in Mission Istanbul, says she is enjoying all the attention she gets from men. The actress, who is excited about her role in the film Loot, where she stars alongside Suniel Shetty, Javed Jaffrey and Mimoh Chakraborty says, “I think it’s all about the vibes you give out. I guess I give a lot of hot vibes. Honestly, it’s also about how you feel inside. If you are confident about your body and can carry it well, everyone else will look at you that way.”
Shweta, who has signed a three-film deal with Suniel Shetty’s production house, Popcorn Media, says that she is eagerly waiting for her next film Loot. “Being the youngest actor on the sets, I was always bullied by others. Whenever I started talking, they would say, ‘Go to your room.’ I was bullied more than Mimoh,” says Shweta, who plays a congirl in the film.
Shweta, who is often linked with co-star Mimoh, denies any involvement with him. “He is a very sweet person and a dear friend. But there’s nothing romantic going on between us,” she says.
The actress, who started her career with modelling, says that a film career was something she had never planned. “I moved to ad- films after ramp. I was doing an endorsement, when Suniel saw one of my posters and liked it. His production house called me a day later and offered me a role in the film Mission Istanbul,” she says. Speaking about Suniel, she adds, “He is like a father figure to me. He is very protective and always treats me like a child.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
